Safeguarding Training
Safeguarding children is everyone's responsibility. Working Together 2010* (see below) states that
"audiences for training include the whole of the children and young people's workforce and those working with adults who are parents or carer"
* Working Together 2010 sets out how organisations and individuals should work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people

Leicester City and Leicestershire and Rutland Local Safeguarding Training Board

Northamptonshire Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCBN)

The LSCBN have a series of training events including Working Together to Safeguard Children, Parenting Capacity, Safeguarding BME Children and Children with Disabilities.

Leicester City Council offer Level 2a Safeguarding Training through Leicester Learning Pool. Lucy Faithfull Foundation offers one day workshops and courses on a range of issues related to sexual abuse as well as Safer Recruitment.

Social Care Institute for Excellence
|
The SCIE offers free e-learning modules on parental substance misuse and parental mental health and the impact on families. The modules are aimed at social workers however they are freely accessible to all users. |

Safeguarding Training for Sports Groups

A list of courses for people involved in sport such as Emergency First Aid for Sports, Safeguarding, Where to find funding, how to coach disabled people. |
| FA Safeguarding Children in Football |
Details of the workshop including booking form and workshop schedule. Other courses offered include Coaching Disabled Footballers, First Aid, Club Welfare Officer Workshops, FA Youth Awards.

| Safeguarding Training from the RFU | Information about the Safeguarding and Child Protection workshops for people involved in Rugby. Courses all over the country with at least one in Leicestershire each month. Schedule and booking forms available on the website. Workshops cost £15 per person. |
