Course outline: 

One Day Multi-Agency Child & Adolescent Mental Health Training Event. An established course that has been well evaluated and highly received by Tier 1 professionals

 

All Trainers are experienced and practising Clinicians in Child Mental Health.  The day aims to give a theoretical and practical overview of self esteem its effect on mental health and its relevance to multi-agency working with children and adolescents

 

Target Audience

Aimed at Tier 1 professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors who work with children and young people.

Priority will be given to those who have attended the Foundation Level 1, Two Day Working Together in Children and Young Peoples Mental Health

During 2011, Leicester Safeguarding Children Board co-ordinated 2 Serious Case Reviews, 1 Serious Incident Learning process and participated in a pilot review using the systems approach recommended by Professor Eileen Munro.

 

Purposes of each half-day briefing session:

Through presentations and discussion, delegates from a range of agencies will be able to examine, explore and discuss:

  • What was learned from the various case review processes
  • How practice is being changed as a result

 

Who should attend these briefing sessions?

Relevant Staff at all levels from the following agencies represented on the LSCB:

  • Childrens Social Care services and Education services in Leicester City Council
  • Leicestershire & Rutland Probation Trust
