Safeguarding Practice

Safeguarding is about everything an organisation can do to keep children and young people safe e.g.

  • minimising the risk of harm and accidents,
  • having safe recruitment procedures,
  • having a code of conduct for staff and volunteers
  • having the right polices and procedures in place to deal with issues if they occur

Safeguarding is also about Child Protection - protecting children from suspected abuse and neglect - click here for more information on Child Protection
