UK Youth have started a 2 year project to develop enterprise skills amongst young people in non-formal education.
The programme consists of various elements:
Enterprise Training - for project workers
Free Enterprise Challenge Toolkit Offer - with examples of challenges and targets to help recognise young people's achievements in enterprise
Young People's Rewards - for young people completeing an enterprise challenge
Nick Hurd MP, the Minister for Civil Society has written to NAVCA Chief Executive, Kevin Curley, asking for information about the five burdens - either regulations or processes - that most impact on NAVCA members.
NAVCA are asking VCS organisations to write to them explaining the regulations or processes which hinder their work most. They are asking that responses indicate clearly whether the regulation or process should be changed (and if so, in what way) or eliminated.

Youth charities are being invited to bid for a share of a £20,000 grant to organise activities to "encourage and inspire" young black people.
The Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG) is offering grants of £500 to 40 local community and voluntary groups through its Reach Community Engagement Fund.
