Addressing skills gaps to benefit children and young people.

The first Working Group to develop National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the Justice Sector's Children and Young People's Workforce was held on 25 June. A further event is in the process of being organised and we will provide details on our the Skills for Justice website

They are now into the second phase of the project and will be concentrating on refining the NOS and preparing for consultation. The project has been met with much interest so far from many organisations. However, they are still looking for UK wide representation and expertise in the following areas

  • forced marriages
  • asylum/immigration
  • courts and prosecutions
  •  human trafficking
  • secure estate
  • conflict resolution
  •  the use of control and restraint
  • Please contact them if you would like to contribute to this important project. Your input is extremely valuable and your expertise will make a difference to the lives of children and young people.
