Alcohol and drugs treatment service consultation

The Safer Leicester Partnership and NHS Leicester City are we are proposing a newly designed drug and alcohol service for adults and young people in Leicester.
 
As part of this process they are carrying out a consultation with everyone across the city - service users, service providers, support agencies, members of the public and all others with an interest in the delivery of alcohol and drug services in Leicester.
 
This consultation focuses on two service models:
·        Adults (aged 18 and over)

Aiming Higher: A Good Practice Guide

Aiming Higher is a good practice guide for practitioners working with young adults with multiple needs who are making the transition to adulthood. It sets out a series of good practice principles for the delivery of services to these young people. It was compiled using the views of young adults and practitioners.

Hear By Right ‘Bite Sized and Badgable’ will equip you with the knowledge and skills to ensure your organisation is safe, sound and legally compliant through using the best practice for the participation of children and young people.

The half day training events will introduce participants to:

1) the Hear By Right Framework, used widely across the young people’s sector to map current work and plan for improvement with young people themselves;
2) the new Hear By Right Award Scheme, which provides an opportunity for an organisation to achieve the national recognition it deserves.

This event is most suitable for participants who….
• have responsibility for the participation of young within the organisation
• have used Heard By Right Before
• are new to both the Hear By Right Framework and Award Scheme

The Volunteer Management Programme - last chance to apply 30th June 2010

The Volunteer Management Programme <http://www.capacitybuilders.org.uk/programmes/our-programmes/volunteer-management-programme>  provides support to people who manage volunteers. Bursaries are still available to cover the costs of a Level 3 skills development package in Volunteer Management.
