The ‘You’re Welcome’ quality criteria sets out principles to help services with a significant health component, including non-NHS services, be young people friendly.

Faster and better contact between children’s services professionals across England will now become a reality as ContactPoint starts to be rolled out nationally to local authorities and frontline practitioners, Children’s Secretary Ed Balls and Children’s Minister Delyth Morgan confirmed today.
The Working with Vulnerable Young People’s qualifications are newly available. In order to ensure that the new qualifications are as useful to as many parts of the Children’s Workforce as possible, Skills for Justice on behalf of the Childrens Workforce Network will pilot this qualification in two English regions with 20 candidates.

CWDC want to hear success stories from families who have benefited from integrated working. If you’ve made a positive difference to a family, CWDC would love to hear about it. Your experiences will be used as case studies to show the real changes integrated working is making to people’s lives.
Over the last few months, the CWDC have been revising the inductions standards workbook, in consultation with the CWDC induction standards user group. The materials are designed to help support inductees and their managers through the induction process. CWDC have also produced mapping documents to show how the induction standards link to the Common Core of Skills and Knowledge. The new online resources include a workbook that all inductees can download and save to complete as well as supporting factsheets to explain the process.
The first Working Group to develop National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the Justice Sector's Children and Young People's Workforce was held on 25 June. A further event is in the process of being organised and we will provide details on our the Skills for Justice website

Preventing Bullying Behaviour is a new NSPCC EduCare distance learning programme for anyone who comes into contact with children and young people through their work, voluntary or leisure activities. The programme is now available as e-learning and in hard copy.
