Integrated Qualifications Framework

The Integrated Qualification Framework (IQF) will be a comprehensive set of qualifications appropriate for people who work with, or would like to work with children, young people and families.

The aim of the qualifications is to make children and young people the centre of all services and ensure staff have the best and most relevant training.

The qualifications will also underpin the development of one children's workforce and the culture of integrated working and will help to embed the Common Core of Skills and Knowledge.

The IQF is being developed by the Children's Workforce Network (CWN) and will allow for

  • Progression
  • Continuing professional development
  • Mobility across the workforce

The CWN is currently on track with the implementation of the IQF and hopes to have completed by April 2010.
